Plan ready for submission

Following our Pre-Submission consultation, which closed in October 2017, all the Plan documents have been amended to take account of many helpful comments that were submitted by local residents, various organisations and land owners, and statutory consultees.

We received 93 submissions in all, and it took until just before Christmas for the Forum to work through all of them in detail, deciding how we should respond in each case.…

The Village Hall rates are very reasonable and the facilities are excellent.

We need to increase the usage of the hall. It doesn’t have to be a weekly booking and you can try something for a few months before deciding to make it regular.…

Great turnout for engagement meetings

Our nine events around the neighbourhood in January were a great success. Over 300 people braved often freezing weather to show their support for the Neighbourhood Plan and to ask many questions. Most of these were answered on the spot by Forum members, and all of them will influence the policies and the Plan document that is now being reviewed.…

Duns Tew Quarry – works beginning 29th Jan

As part of the final restoration work for the quarry west of the Duns Tew Road we are required to remove the former road crossing infrastructure associated with the sand extraction campaigns. The pairs of double gates will be replaced with single farm gates and the hedge and highway verge will be reinstated. This work is starting next Monday 29th January and we have commissioned Civil engineers Greenford Ltd to carry out the works for us.…
