16 Jan – Did you know…..The Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan (MCNP)

Did you know…..The Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan (MCNP) is actively objecting to the vast warehousing schemes currently proposed in our neighbouring parishes. Whilst we understand there is a national need for employment, our area currently has employment figures way above the national average. Warehousing of the nature proposed does not result in huge job increases, but rather huge amounts of extra traffic on the surrounding rural roads.

9 Jan.. Did you know…..The Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan (MCNP)

Did you know…..The Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan (MCNP) is a statutory consultee on all planning applications made within the plan area. To date we have commented on multiple cases and have had great success in ensuring that our local polices are implemented by the Cherwell Planning department.

2 Jan – Did you know…..The Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan (MCNP)

….has been very active in campaigning for a new Local Health Facility at Heyford Park. Initially the NHS rejected the proposal for a new pharmacy but MCNP worked with the GP Practice to appeal the refusal, which resulted in the approval of the pharmacy that is open today.

20 Dec – Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan… did you know….

Did you know…..The Mid Cherwell Neighbourhood Plan (MCNP) has been in force since a referendum was held in 2019?

A neighbourhood plan is a legal planning document that is used to guide development within the plan area, but it is formulated by local residents and volunteers, NOT planning authorities.

The MCNP is bringing its policies up to date and adding some important new ones to benefit all our local residents. We are now consulting with all the communities within the Plan area and asking for your views.

Comment on OCC’s new draft health and wellbeing strategy

Oxfordshire County Council are asking residents to comment on the new draft health and wellbeing strategy which is open for comment until 12 November.

As a county, we’re facing challenges with an ageing population, increased demand for services, mental health and wellbeing concerns in young people and significant inequality in our health.

A partnership across the county have been working to develop a strategy that gives power to our communities to help deliver what is needed to support people to make healthy choices, live independently and stay happier and healthier for longer.

Oxfordshire County Council are now asking whether it makes sense for you in your community? Get involved and have your say https://letstalk.oxfordshire.gov.uk/health-wellbeing

Village Tidy up – Sunday 3rd September @ 11:00am

The village tidy up is this Sunday 3rd September!

Meet at the village hall at 11:00am and if you can bring any cleaning kit with you e.g. buckets, dishwashing liquid, mops etc that would be great.

We have litter pickers and bags, some buckets and sponges but we probably need some mops to reach the road signs.  Also don’t forget the washing up gloves!
