Duns Tew commemorates Armistice Day
During World War One, more than 18 million people were killed and 23 million were wounded. From Britain, 6 million fought; 1.7 million were wounded; 65,000 were shell-shocked; 170,000 became prisoners and 772,000 died. No community was untouched.
We have gathered here today to remember all those from this community of Duns Tew who were caught up in the courageous but tragic events of two World Wars, those women and men who have died in earlier and subsequent wars.…

Temporary Road Closure – 2nd to 5th December
Thames Water need to close Main Street at the Hempton end, from the 2nd up to and including the 5th December 2019.
This is a 24 hour per day closure.
